4 Site Amenities to Consider When Developing a Public Park

1. Grills: Developers today are bringing backyards to public spaces by adding comfortable site amenities. A simple picnic area can become a much more appealing destination with some planning and upgraded site furnishings such as group grills and picnic tables.

2. Dog Parks: Today, developers are allocating areas specifically for our pets. These dog parks are not just "dog runs," but areas with introduction zones, water, big dog/little dog areas and dog park agility equipment, all enclosed for their protection.

3. Upgraded Pool Amenities: Have you ever been to a pool and had deja vu? That's because some developers use a "cookie cutter" pool on all their projects. Community members are looking for more out of their site amenities. Negative and infinity edges, waterfalls, fountains and cabanas are all site amenities that give the effect of a high-end public space that people are wanting.

4. Outdoor Fitness Areas and Playgrounds: Most of us wish we were in better shape and developers are trying to help us. Although some are still building the traditional tennis court, many are constructing site amenities such as outdoor fitness areas and playgrounds that even adults can enjoy. By incorporating some fitness site amenities, this can turn into a full work out.

Be sure to let neighbors end their workout with a dip in the pool and a burger on the grill! Currently developing a new public park or looking to upgrade an existing outdoor space? Give us a call @ 877.777.3700 for all your grill, dog park, pool amenity, fitness and playground needs.
